Agorà is committed to the highest standards of journalistic integrity. We do not accept plagiarism, fabrication, or misrepresentation of sources.

We do not accept submissions that we deem to be AI-generated. We reserve the right to reject an article we suspect is AI-generated even if the author claims otherwise.

Submission guidelines

Please review these requirements carefully before submitting your work.

Content requirements

  • Articles should range between 800-1200 words.
  • We accept new and pre-published articles.
  • Articles should be written in standard UK English.
  • Articles should include a title, subtitle, 2-4 subheadings and author biography.
  • Any facts and figures should have a link or source cited.
  • Any images should have a caption providing photo credit and a small explanation.

Technical specifications

  • Submit articles as .docx, .doc, or in full text.
  • High-resolution images (300 DPI minimum) in JPEG format.
  • Times New Roman, 11pt, 1.15 line spacing, left-aligned.

Editorial process

  1. 1. Initial review

    After sending us your piece, we will get back to you within 3 days with an acceptance or rejection.

  2. 2. Collaborative editing

    An editor will email you a revised version of your article that matches Agorà’s editorial standards whilst maintaining your unique voice.

  3. 3. Fact-checking and proofreading

    Our fact-checkers and copyeditors ensure your article is ready for publication.

  4. 4. Final approval

    The Editor-in-Chief and the author sign off for final approval.
